About Dick's Auto & Truck Repair

For over 40 years, Dick’s Auto & Truck Repair has been a family-owned and operated company. From brakes and tune-ups to shocks and struts, we provide a host of services to keep your vehicle safe and operational.

Humble Beginnings

Our company’s roots go back to 1976, when Dick, Brenda, and Brenda’s parents, George and Irene, began as West Park Texaco. In 1977, our family would open a second auto repair and fueling service station, North Hill Texaco. Three years later, we sold West Park Texaco and became North Hill Texaco at a different location.

In 1981, after moving from North Hill Texaco to its new location, the family business began operating as Dick’s Auto & Truck Repair. With a new location and new name, we were able to focus strictly on automotive repairs.

A Company on the Move

In 1983, Dick took the opportunity to purchase property instead of renting. We’ve been happy to call our present location “home” for over 37 years now.

Second Generation Serving Red Deer’s Auto Needs

After completing high school, Dick and Brenda’s eldest son, Devon, began working full-time in 1994. This was followed soon after by his brother, Bryan, also joining as an automotive service technician in 1997.

In 2009, Devon and Bryan partnered with their father in business. Around the same time, Melissa, Devon’s wife, took over the company’s bookkeeping after Brenda’s retirement. After more than 40 years of providing excellent service to the community, Dick, the founder of the company, retired in 2017.

Thank You!

As our family looks to the future, we’ll never forget the people who have made Dick’s Auto their preferred auto shop since the late 1970s. Thank you for your support!

Keeping Involved in the Community

For over 30 years, Dick’s Auto & Truck Repair has been a proud sponsor of Red Deer Minor Baseball.
